While many are looking to electric or hybrid powerplants, Mazda is leveraging old school technology to extend the efficiency of the good old combustion engine, i.e. fossil-fuel. The HCCI concept is pretty cool even though understanding where the value comes from is a bit complex. Take a run at this video.
