The results shown here are from Edelbrock’s custom-built tune, not the CARB tune. On the dyno, a stock engine baselined at 128 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque, was upgraded to create 198 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. The 70-hp gain in horsepower and 45 pound-feet of torque gain, is more than 54 percent over a stock setup.
The new package’s power curve is extremely linear, which makes the car wicked smooth and fast. The upgrade ‘feels’ like just a bigger naturally aspirated engine has been dropped in. Because of the extremely efficient Eaton Gen VI rotor design, there isn’t even much supercharger whine. While this sound reduction is not nearly exciting, the lack of whine means there less energy being expended, therefore all the power is going to the rear wheels where it belongs. Also worth noting is that the build utilizes a Greddy exhaust system, so results on your own car may be slightly better than stock pipes.
